Bianchi Infitnio CV Disc 2019 | Is 2019 the year of the disc?

Bianchi have updated their 2019 offering of the Bianchi Infinito CV and the direction of the market is evident in their range. In the 2019 season you can have a choice of 2 traditional rim brake Infinito CV bikes or 6 on the new Infinito CV disc brake platform. It is clear 2019 is going to be the season of disc brakes and once you have ridden one you can see why…

Braking performance on the Infinito CV Disc is far superior with options as standard from Shimano and Campagnolo or you can contact us to custom build your option if Sram or another manufacturer is your Groupset of selection. Descending with disc brakes inspires confidence through the stability of the braking experience. This stability and confidence allow you to descend faster and react quickly in situations; making overall times faster and riding more enjoyable.

Bianchi Infinito CV Disc | 2019 Models

As stated above 6-disc models and 2 traditional calliper models are available for model year 2019. If rim brakes remain your choice there is an InfinitoCV Ultegra or Infinito CV Potenza available as stock bikes, however if you preferred a different specification we can alter these and create a custom bike whilst maintaining a competitive price. An example might be as simple as a wheel alteration or you might go as far as requesting Dura Ace Di2, Super Record or eTap but, its your bike and we will endeavour to create what you desire at purchase.

The 2019 Infinito CV Disc models vary from Shimano 105 to Dura Ace Di2 and Campagnolo Potenza to Super Record. We anticipate the 2019 Infintio CV Ultegra will be the best-selling model in 2019 potentially with several customers seeking to upgrade the wheelset at purchase, any options are available but Campagnolo, Miche and Mavic are always popular choices. Our model of choice would be the Infinito CV Disc Ultegra Di2.

The Ultegra Di2 specified Bianchi Infinito CV Disc may be the first time for many onto a disc platform and an opportunity for people to go electronic too. The wheelset is already upgraded to the Fulcrum 518 Disc wheelset but this can be upgraded further as previously suggested.

Bianchi Infinito CV Disc | Technology

The Infinito CV Disc, with its re-designed frame shape, has been developed with endurance-specific geometry and thru-axle rear dropouts for optimum integration with disc brakes. Longer chainstays help smooth the ride, and a taller aero headtube gives the rider a low-stress neck position, enhanced by Countervail’s vibration cancelling capacity.

The specific CV tuning process reduces rider’s muscle fatigue and increases control for a better overall performance, especially on bumping roads and cobblestone sections. The new Infinito CV Disc has been engineered to be also more aero by using a new integrated-look carbon seatpost. The bike is also compatible with Metron 5D aero handlebar for those who want a special touch to the sleek overall aesthetic of the new model. Like Bianchi’s first-generation model, the new Infinito C V Disc is engineered with the revolutionary Bianchi CV System, using patented Countervail carbon material, to cancel road vibrations.

The Infinito CV Disc is fitted with a shallow curved blade, aero, full-carbon fork. Featuring a 1.1/8 -1.5in taper steerer and 12x100mm thru-axle drop outs, for steering stability and precision and braking performance. The fork weighs 390g.

Bianchi’s Infinito CV Disc frame and fork feature fully-integrated Flat Mount Disc brakes, delivering uniform power, increased efficiency and precise modulation for strong predictable braking, in any weather conditions. Compatible with 140 or 160mm rotors. Cables for brakes and drivetrain are all internally routed. When riding long distances with extended time in the saddle, larger volume tyres are the answer. The Infinito CV Disc is compatible with tyres up to 32mm. High-volume tyres add extra grip, comfort and control, without affecting rolling efficiency, or speed.

Bianchi Infinito CV Disc | Countervail

What is Countervail? The key technology Countervail® is a carbon composite-material system that combines patented structural carbon with viscoelastic resin.

Bianchi collaborated with Materials Sciences Corporation to develop our innovative and exclusive use of the MSC’s patented Countervail® integrated vibration cancelling system for cycling.

Countervail® is a carbon composite-material system that, with special fiber architecture, combines patented structural carbon with viscoelastic resin. Countervail® cancels 80% of vibrations while increasing the stiffness and strength of our carbon frames and forks. Countervail® is embedded within the entire frame of Bianchi CV high-performance road and MTB models: Specialissima, Oltre XR4, Oltre XR3, Infinito CV, Aquila CV and Methanol CV.

Traditional passive damping in frames using superficial rubber inserts and isolators are marginally effective compared to the integrated carbon Countervail® system developed by Bianchi for cycling and proven in the extreme conditions of NASA aerospace operations.
