Bike: Richard currently completes sportives on a custom Italian Scapin Kalibra Disc road bike equipped with Ultegra and Miche SWR wheelset.
Interesting experience: In 2024 Richard completed the Velo29 Everest Challenge. Everesting is a brutally simple concept – cycle repeat climbs of one hill in a single activity totalling at least 8,848m of elevation. The day of the event was high winds and torrential rain. Richard completed 8912m, riding 172km in a moving time of 13 hours.
Aspirations: Richard plans on completing more sportives in 2025 and is looking forward to a European group ride.
